Pushing Your Weight Loss Further Forward

By Russ Howe Pti

At some stage most of us will hit a plateau with our diet. If you are looking at how to lose weight and perhaps struggling to push on to the next level, you will find the two simple steps given in today's article to be incredibly useful.

There is so much false information out there regarding fat loss that it is very easy to be misled and just as easy to end up wasting your hard earned cash on supposed miracle fixes. What we share with you today is proven and best of all completely free.

The following two steps will help you to get past even the hardest block when trying to lose unwanted body fat.

Rule One - Snack Tubs.

Rule Number Two - Take A Day Off.

Most people fall off a diet at least once in their life. Heck, I have known people to do it almost monthly. There is one reason which causes this more than any other and that is the temptation of your favorite junk foods. Normally this happens when you are at your job and don't have any food with you. The vending machine is right there, after all. We've been there before probably just like you have.

But you won't find healthy snacks in there. The truth is your body doesn't even want what's in there. You crave the feeling you get from the junk food rather than the food itself.

You do not have those yearning hunger pains in your stomach because your muscles are desperate to ingest a chocolate bar. The nutritional values are terrible, after all. Instead, you crave it because you associate it with a quick fix feeling of being happy and comfort eating. This can tear your diet apart.

Before heading off to work pack three or four small snack tubs with protein rich snacks. Snacking on protein feeds your muscles and also has far less impact on your body's fat storage system.

This easy trick is usually enough to eliminate junk food cravings at work completely. Not only do you feel fuller and work more efficiently because your body is actually using the nutrition now, but you also don't want to waste food you prepared at home so you subconsciously force yourself to stick to it.

The second tip is just as important. Taking a day off your diet each week may seem like a nonsense idea but the fact remains most people fall off their healthy lifestyle plan because they attack it too hard and deny themselves their favorite foods from day one.

Most people how try to lose fat go too hard too fast. They cut out their favorite foods and think they need to live off 'rabbit food' to get slimmer. This is nonsense, and a sure fire way to fall off your plan very fast.

Don't be too hard on yourself. You only want to build a better body, after all. Take a day off each week.

You may eat more calories but not enough to wreck your entire week's progress. You may eat junk food but again not enough to derail an entire week's worth of good eating and exercise. In fact, enjoying your favorite foods on one specific day each week gives you a target every single week, something to look forward to. It helps you stick to your routine without even realizing it.

Both of these steps are tried and tested. They work, it's as simple as that. Apply them to your diet today if you are trying to figure out how to lose weight and you will see positive results.
